Last weekend Italian Middle Distace Championship was held in Val Vigezzo, near Switzerland's boarder!
Not just italian runners competed there, as a matter of fact orienteers from Czech Republic and Switzerland fought in Elitè class.
Saturday afternoon Manuel Negrello won qualification B while Mikhail Mamleev and Jan Benes (JWOC Middle distance champion) won qualification A.
The day after, under a bright sun the real show begun.
Michele Tavernaro took the lead with an incredible time keeping the first position for long time, neither Seidenari (11th in 10MILA) nor Corona were able to beat his time!
But then the King came into the finish beating Michele's time by 1' ...we're speaking about Klaus Schgaguler!
The race wasn't already finished...everyone expected Mamleev's victory but Kluas's time was unbeatable even for Mikhail's legs!
The italian champion was the last-leg runner for Lidingo at 10MILA!
